STUDIO POLiCIES

Studio policies for The Pearl, covering various aspects of safety, hygiene, bookings, refunds, and conduct:

BOOKINGS

Bookings: Online bookings are required for all sessions.

Reservation and Payment: To confirm your reservation for all classes and private sessions, an account and valid credit card information must be on file. Payment information should be updated at least 24 hours before your appointment, and payment is required at the time of your visit. Failure to provide payment information will result in a charge for a single session.

Waitlist: To use the waitlist function, ensure you have a phone number on file and email and text alerts turned on. A valid payment option must be available when added to the waitlist. Class openings may become available up to 1 hour before the class starts and you will be automatically added. You must remove yourself from the waitlist or cancel if you don't wish to attend, and the cancellation policy will apply. If you are not added to the class, any unused payment options will be refunded/re-applied to your account for future use.

Cancellation Policy: Private/duet sessions require a 24-hour cancellation notice, while all classes mandate a 12-hour notice. Cancellations or no-shows within less than 24 hours for private/duet sessions or 12 hours for classes will be charged in full. Rescheduled appointments within 24 hours of the originally scheduled time will be treated as new appointments and charged accordingly.  Every client gets one annual freebie cancellation! If you need to use it, just reach out to us, and we’ll be happy to apply it for you.

A quick favor: Please cancel your classes yourself online or through the app. We kindly ask that you don’t call, text, or email to cancel. This helps keep things organized and ensures that the waitlist can update. Here’s how:

  • ONLINE: Log in to your account on this website.  Click "Manage Account" under your name in the upper right corner.  Select "Your Schedule".  Classes that you are booked for will populate, and on the right side of the class listing, click “Cancel".

  • ON THE WALLA APP: The home page of the app lists "Your Upcoming Visits".  Click on the class you want to cancel, and at the bottom right of the screen, you will have the option to cancel.  A pop-up will ask you to confirm your cancellation, select "Yes, cancel".

In Case of Illness: At The Pearl, the health and well-being of our community is our top priority. If you are feeling unwell, we kindly ask that you refrain from attending class to prevent the spread of illness. We encourage you to rest and recover fully before returning to your practice. By doing so, we can ensure a safe and healthy environment for all. If you need to late cancel due to illness, please email the studio, and we will accommodate your needs.

CLASSES

How to Prepare for Class:

  • Book ahead of time.

  • Bring a water bottle, a yoga mat (if you like - we have plenty), grippy socks for Reformer classes, and good vibes.

What to Expect:

  • Arrive at least 10 minutes early for a smooth check-in. Doors close five minutes after class begins.

  • Phones (ringer off please!) and shoes are left at the door.

  • No food or animals (apart from service animals) in the studio.

  • Classes are 50 minutes long, unless otherwise noted.

  • Wipe down equipment after class.

Late Admittance: No late admittance into class is permitted. Clients arriving after a five-minute cutoff will not be admitted and will be charged in full.

Late Arrival for Private Sessions: For clients running late for private sessions, timely communication with the studio is crucial. If the studio hasn't heard from you 20 minutes after your session start time, it will be considered a late cancellation, and your instructor may leave.

Instructor Substitution: The Pearl reserves the right to provide substitute instructors for all classes without prior notice.

STUDENTS

All Students: All students must sign a waiver before participating in fitness classes. Students have the option to consent to hands-on adjustments. The Pearl has a zero-tolerance policy against hate speech, discrimination, or harassment.

Pregnant Clients: After the first trimester, pregnant clients are kindly asked to participate in prenatal and private sessions exclusively.

Minors: Minors under 13 must be accompanied by an adult. Parents must sign a waiver for children under 18.

Recording Your Practice: We understand that capturing your practice can be inspiring and fun, whether for personal reflection or sharing on social media. At The Pearl, we do allow students to record themselves, but we ask that you follow these guidelines to ensure a respectful and supportive environment for everyone:

  • Instructor Permission: Please ask your instructor for permission before recording. Some instructors do not allow recording.

  • Respect Others: If other students may appear in your video, you must ask their permission first and disclose if you plan to post the video on social media. If anyone is uncomfortable being recorded, we kindly ask that you respect their wishes and refrain from recording.

  • Embrace the Moment: Your movement practice is an ideal time to put your phone aside and be fully present. While recording can be fun, we encourage you to savor this sacred time for yourself - no phones required!

Thank you for helping us maintain a space that’s welcoming and mindful for all!

PURCHASES

Refunds and Exchanges: The Pearl does not provide refunds or exchanges for any service or retail item purchased.

These policies are designed to facilitate efficient scheduling and ensure adherence to class and appointment commitments at The Pearl. Please review and comply with them for a seamless experience at our studio.
