About The Pearl:
Welcome to The Pearl, a multi-modality movement studio opening this Spring on City Island! We're on a mission to create a vibrant and inclusive space where people of all ages and fitness levels can come together to move, connect, and thrive. The Pearl aims to be a community-driven haven that values exceptional classes, diversity, and environmental sustainability.
Qualifications:
Kindness, positivity and self-confidence
Experience in teaching group fitness classes, especially in a community-oriented setting
Enthusiasm for creating an inclusive and non-threatening atmosphere
Desire to build a successful business in an entrepreneurial environment
Focus on customer service, including professional and effective communication skills
Experience with studio management software and/or the ability to learn new systems
Ability to run, jump, walk, bend, balance, and perform upper and lower body weight bearing movements
Ability to effectively demonstrate all movements performed in classes
Must be well-versed in exercise modifications for all populations
Must have a legal right to work in the United States
Ability to teach a minimum of 4 hours a week
Licenses/Certifications:
Required: Valid certification in your respective field
Required: CPR Certification
Specialized certifications for children's classes, pre-natal, post-natal, meditation, or other relevant specialties are a plus
Group Fitness Certification a plus
Duties & Responsibilities:
Overall responsibilities will be to provide outstanding fitness classes, hospitality & service to our members and be able to make connections and teach with expertise & compassion.
Conduct small (6 - 12 student) group or private fitness classes in your respective modality
Develop and deliver safe, effective, and engaging workouts for participants
Provide modifications and adjustments to accommodate various fitness levels
Foster a sense of community within your classes, ensuring a welcoming environment for all
Maintain positive and open communication with participants
Arrive prior to class start time to prepare and set up the studio space, meet, greet, and acclimate new clients, tidy up studio after class
Assist with building studio revenue by promoting retail and membership sales and services
Maintain a clean and orderly workout environment
Attend team meetings and training sessions as required

These positions pay a competitive base class rate, an additional per-head rate, and offer commission for new member sign-ups.
